Digging out from the center, no splendor indeed, no need
In order to function, no perception, connection broken
Out of the shadows I've fallen
Stalling for a light at the corner of my eyes
Please hold on to this while I awaken the tearful triumph
Prying and tying me down
This failed gain of learned intellect
Must be checked, how to dissect, how to split
And as if the sound wasn't troubling enough already, tears are steady
Lucky as they are, they would never know who I am
Not but a man, staying aboard the sand
Slowly dragging the hand

Sense of Touch by Micah Carter
You don't now have to worry about the skin touching against your own ideas
Raw possibilities made us cold with sweat so easily
Sudden and swift moments are missed
As though they were not so important so vital
The only thing we can escape is our constantly morphing train of thought
Don't get caught, brain will rot
Fill the slot with change for the better
Touching you, singing, dancing as a cancer
Fearing, hearing, trusting the answer
Facts are not trusting but apparently noticeable
Raw possibilities made us cold with sweat so easily
Sudden and swift moments are missed
As though they were not so important so vital
The only thing we can escape is our constantly morphing train of thought
Don't get caught, brain will rot
Fill the slot with change for the better
Touching you, singing, dancing as a cancer
Fearing, hearing, trusting the answer
Facts are not trusting but apparently noticeable
The Other Side by Micah Carter
Their eyes are so lonely and their hearts are so gray
Longing for something to trickle their way
Outsude, such bitter cold
Such a dark cloud to behold
Unto no one shall their stories be told
For them there lies inside only fear
Eyes only swelling and drained of the tears
They walk the same earth
They share the same sun
The hopeless mother and daughters
And old lonely ones
With no riches and wealth, no greed to forget
What they never had leaves no room for regret
If only we were capable to share
If only we had hearts to care
Longing for something to trickle their way
Outsude, such bitter cold
Such a dark cloud to behold
Unto no one shall their stories be told
For them there lies inside only fear
Eyes only swelling and drained of the tears
They walk the same earth
They share the same sun
The hopeless mother and daughters
And old lonely ones
With no riches and wealth, no greed to forget
What they never had leaves no room for regret
If only we were capable to share
If only we had hearts to care
Dim light
Acting on old, fragile faith, we aren't alone
Singing my song, gracing a tone
How to condone
Where to move further, when to ensure
Death is much stronger than life we endure
What was said, now fades away
Bright as a star, short like the day
Take another gasping breath my friend
Mutter so softly, this is the end
Singing my song, gracing a tone
How to condone
Where to move further, when to ensure
Death is much stronger than life we endure
What was said, now fades away
Bright as a star, short like the day
Take another gasping breath my friend
Mutter so softly, this is the end
Welcome home
Finally, a soldiers feet entangled upon unfamiliar shores
Slowly moving, their spray shatters the glistening waters
Only one way to find out behind the lines
The country now flustered with dust in the air, only a newborn is saved
And now I trust them to believe by bitter faith
How they were betrayed
If a sea if wildlife were only stronger, for centuries they would pass by,
solemn and distraught
A new savior runs their temple as if consuming of trustworthiness
Assuming a kiss, such mortal bliss
As if they rest their aching bones here, who was I to become
Noone and none
Slowly moving, their spray shatters the glistening waters
Only one way to find out behind the lines
The country now flustered with dust in the air, only a newborn is saved
And now I trust them to believe by bitter faith
How they were betrayed
If a sea if wildlife were only stronger, for centuries they would pass by,
solemn and distraught
A new savior runs their temple as if consuming of trustworthiness
Assuming a kiss, such mortal bliss
As if they rest their aching bones here, who was I to become
Noone and none
